BIO:
Elite Tha Showstoppa, born Darrin D. Ellison, came from a talented family in Athens, Ga. Since kindergarden Elite has been familiar with the spotlight. From the likes of acting as Wilbur the pig in Charlotte's Web, to singing in school chorus' and community plays, such as The Vaudeville Show, a benefit stage play to renovate the historical Morton Theater located in downtown Athens, Ga Numerous stage plays, talent competitions & showcases solidified Elite as a bona fide entertainer.
After some college, Elite started a multi cultural group titled 'Runaway Slave', under his production company, Reality Check Productions (RCP), which musically ranged from hip hop, r&b, alternative, gospel & gospel rap that spoke out against the New World Order & other gov't oppressed opinions. Elite landed a production deal with Boot Camp Records, an indy label in Atlanta, Ga., which moved his entire camp to Atlanta to work with 'A to the L', one of the producers of Atl's own SILK. Shortly afterwards, Elite landed an artist deal with Wash 1 Records, an indy from Arkansas based in Atlanta & was scheduled to release a solo project under producer 'Da Masta', partly responsible for the likes of Archie Eversole & Young Dro. Elite then joined a three way merger with Latin Comrades Unbreakable Entertainment, then titled Eclipse Entertainment, his company Reality Check Productions & newly formed sister company Avalanche Entertainment to form E.R.A. based in Norcross Ga., where 'High Fidelity (the complexication)' project was completed & distributed throughout Northeast Ga. During this period, Elite stayed busy with side projects such as acting and touring in off broadway play 'Hold Me', produced and directed by Griffin Haygood, and creating Eye Catcher Films & Entertainment in efforts to produce scripts for film and stage plays. Also during this time, Elite made waves with single 'Bounce-A-Holic' which gained televised notoriety on PTV's UndaGround Talent Mart & other local media outlets. Elite & label mate Figaro soon afterwards released 'The Renaissance E.P.' which buzzed the Atl's underground circuit with singles such as the brutal 'Hellraiser', the club anthem 'Playas Alley' & the infectious party starter 'Wig Out', which generated spotlight performances across the state & abroad. Still focused, Elite then teamed up with Ryan Harris with newly launched Atlanta label RMH Entertainment, born in Dallas Austin's DARP studios which brought forth the Flagpole Music Sprockets Film Festivals Viewers Choice Awards winning video, 'Liquor', directed by Andrew Fazekas, & numerous appearances & stage shows across the country. After appearing in countless showcases & competitions, pushing 'Liquor' & the underground club banger 'U Ain't', Elite Started to focus more on the business side of the industry & decided to keep a partnership with RMH & rebuild RCP into an indy label, which, in turned birthed RCP Music Group.
Touching stages as far away as Singapore, Japan & Italy to California's San Diego, L.A. & Venice Beaches, to Memphis, Tennessee's B.B. Kings Blues Club, alongside the famous ZDA The Princess Of Beale St, to Philadelphia with Philly's own Alaina Nelson & phenomenal band Side By Sol during Taste of Philadelphia and back to the Classic City, Elite has truly left an impression amongst a number of people over the years. Still the 'Showstoppa', Elite is titled by most, "exciting to watch" on stage. Merging with local Athens, Ga. affiliate T-Nebula Productions to form TNEB-RCP Music Group, Elite is currently producing local acts across the state, managing an in house staff of other artists & producers as well. He hosts various events, such as Mean Mic Tuesdays at New Earth Music Hall in Athens, Ga., courtesy of Mean Mic Entertainment's CEO's, local promoter & artist, Tommy Valentine & Bobby Stamps, manager of Bubba Sparxxx. He also hosts an online urban radio show titled 'VERSES' on z88online.com. As an artist, Elite has been called a breath of fresh air due to his original approach & dare to being different state of mind. He has been phrased in the Athens Banner Herald & local music magazine Flagpole as a local superstar & legend. His music is derived from his heart & soul. Elite Tha Showstoppa still gives a breathtaking solo show, but these days you may find him alongside a few friends on stage in a band he created called 'SHOWTIME'.

I'm IN love with Music. So much to the point that I have lost more than I have gained. I am an Addict. I have disappointed friends & family. I have starved & gone homeless. All for the love of Music. It is my nourishment. Like an embryos' lifeline to its mother, I need it to survive.
.I rap, sing, dance & act. I produce & write everything from R&B to movie scripts. I let my work speak for itself. I'm an entertainer. They don't call me 'Tha Showstoppa' for nothing. Most that has witnessed a performance would probably say, "You GOTTA see it!!".
.I'm learning the Business. I love it about as much as Politics. But its a NeckTies' way of keeping us 'Real Talent' out the circle. I'm studying Kevin Liles, O'Shea Jackson, Jermain Dupri & Percy Miller. Don't front on Percy Miller.
.My music is a reflection of how the streets have hardened me, my relationship with God & how I've embraced Life in all its good, its bad & its truths. I am a Hustler, a Father & I'm from Athens. I am Hip Hop.
