BIOGRAPHY



Imagine a weird cook who sliced some fresh meat to put it back together to create a whole new dish. Then he would lay it on some dirty old french fries and shower it with a thick hot sauce.

Sounds disgusting but tastes twice as good! This cook is called Elias Damian, an electro musician hailing from Cologne, Germany.

Focused on all kinds of synthesized vocals, he combines the drive of european electro music with the organic grooves of electro funk and jazz of the early 80s.

Some classic synthesizers, a vocoder, a Fender Rhodes piano and a microphone are the basis on which he realizes his vision of a retro-futuristic sound, dirty and funky electronic dance music.



Born and raised in a half Greek and half Arab family, Elias early got infected by the most rhythmic oriental music. Germany, being a dominant hatchery for electronic music embossed his musical taste already as a child.

Additionally there was no way around loving the music of Michael Jackson when you grow up in the 80s. So, these three factors paved his way to being a hopeless manic music freak.

The result was a strange young man that loved to play his favourite R&B and hip hop records at birthday parties and later at the hottest clubs around Cologne City, known as DJ Atomik-E.

After he started remixing and recording his own music he soon won the clubbangaz worldwide remix contest! More releases followed. But he felt too constricted by the bonds of hip hop music.

So he began experimenting with all kinds of musical styles and especially with vocal samples and funky old synthesizers. He took house music, electro, disco, oriental music, anything that - in fact - GROOVES!

And now, there you got it! Elias Damian, the weird cook of new electro funk!
