DESCRIPTION:
Since 2004 the band elektro guzzi have been producing a new kind of analogue dance music that challenges common preconceptions of how techno can be performed live. Their unique sound that combines elements of minimal and dub is created through guitar, bass and drums, that although visually reminiscent of a rock band is more similar to a techno djs set. But, there is no hiding behind the booth for this band; no computers containing prepared material, no loops or overdubs. The interaction between the three musicians and the audience is whats important when elektro guzzi is on stage. Their debut album, produced together with Patrick Pulsinger, will be released in May 2010 by the Berlin based label macro recordings.
