Started out teaching myself guitar at the age of 17, so quite late in fact. Formed a local band with school chums. The band was called King Liberty and we played a type of folk rock. At 21 ish, I went onto grunge music and was lead singer for Glasgow band Slacker. We got 3rd place in BBC Radio 1 Rock Wars.
Went to music university majoring in vocals and out of a band there we formed the group Majestic 12. We did a couple of live sessions for BBC Radio Scotland and played well known Glasgow venues such as King Tut's and The Arches.
In 1999 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden and got a job as a stagehand there. Did that job for four years and was influenced by a lot of bands I saw through that. I bought some recording equipment from a friend and wrote my first Electrobuddha track - Space Race Junky.
On returning to Scotland in 2003 I wrote the album Bleep, Whirr, Disco! which received good underground coverage.
In 2006 I wrote the album Shine Like The Sun. After this I took a break for a couple of years. This year, 2011 I have started doing acoustic gigs again and I'm very happy to announce that I was picked up by new music label Pure Music Talent.
Now in 2012 Electrobuddha goes bigtime with a brand new band. We are currently in rehearsals for our next gig at Box Glasgow August 15th at 8pm.
