EIMOG BIO - English
Eimog are an instrumental band formed in autumn 2005 in Agrigento, Italy.
Since their first live appearances, Eimog have been steadily attracting the attention of both audience and critics by staging awe-inspiring, emotionally transcendent atmospheric performances.
Four months after they were formed, Eimog teamed up with indie band Fine Before You Came for a series of live concerts around Italy. The experience helped the band consolidating their live sound as well as expanding their fan base. Shortly after the successful live experience with Fine Before You Came, Eimog released a 6-song demo tape called “Untitled ”. The demo tape was self-produced and self-distributed and was very well received by their increasing number of fans.
The band made it twice to the finals of Italia Wave Love Festival and won a number of national music contests, gaining more confidence as they toured and played their instrumental set in front of bigger audiences.
During the first months of 2008 the band recorded their first EP “Early ”: 4 new songs which received positive reviews in Europe, United States and even as far as East Asia.
The enthusiastic reviews of “Early” injected the band with confidence as they toured Italy extensively. Eventually their efforts were rewarded: the band made arrangements with Canadian indie label Iteraphone Records to distribute “Early” internationally. At the same time, two songs from the EP, “The Last Step Over ” and “Oceanic ”, made it to a number of compilations in Italy, Korea and Japan.
After an extensive touring schedule which saw the band playing several live concerts around Italy, in 2008 Eimog had the opportunity to play their music at MEI Festival, the most important Italian independent music fair; they were also invited to play at Ypsigrock Festival , opening for famous acts like Apparat , dEUS , Art Brut and Paolo Benvegnù .
In 2009 the band scheduled some studio time to rehearse and record their first album “Scenario ”.
Six tracks, 57mins of intimate, classically influenced post-rock, an artistic and emotional evolution of the background and sensibility of each member of the band.
Additional strings were recorded during the studio sessions, played by Jascha Parisi (cello) and Sarah Diana (violin). The album was recorded at Vertigo Studio in Siracusa, under the supervision of Toti Valente (Albanopower), and mastered in October 2009 at Nautilus Studio , Milan.
In August 2009 the band delighted their fans by playing the new unreleased album in its entirety in their hometown, Agrigento, The breathtaking natural set of the Kolymbetra’s Gardens , inside the famous Valle dei Templi , was booked for the special occasion. Both the timeless location and the music of the band contributed to a successful night. The show was sold out.
Eimog are currently signed to the Italian indie label Sudway Productions; Scenario will also be distributed in Japan by Friend Of Mine Records .
The band is currently preparing for their first international tour in 2010.

Gli Eimog sono un gruppo strumentale nato nell’autunno del 2005 ad Agrigento, Italia.
Sin dalle prime apparizioni dal vivo, sono riusciti ad attirare l’attenzione di pubblico e critica grazie a performance ispirate, atmosferiche, al contempo infuocate e contemplative.
A soli quattro mesi dalla formazione, si sono uniti alla indie band Fine Before You Came
per una serie di concerti attraverso la penisola, un’esperienza necessaria tanto per consolidare il proprio sound quanto per espandere il proprio uditorio. Immediatamente successiva è la realizzazione di un primo demotape contenente sei tracce e promosso tramite la propria pagina MySpace; in seguito ai buoni riscontri di un pubblico sempre crescente, nel 2008 la band registra il suo primo EP, “ Early ”
: 4 canzoni accolte positivamente, come dimostrano le recensioni favorevoli raccolte in Europa, Stati Uniti e persino Asia. L’interesse è tale che la canadese Iteraphone Records si occupa di distribuire digitalmente l’EP, mentre due canzoni, “ The Last Step Over ”
e “ Oceanic ”, sono state incluse in alcune compilation in Italia, Corea e Giappone.
In promozione del lavoro il gruppo effettua numerose date dal vivo, partecipando peraltro alle finali di Italia Wave Love Festival per ben due volte, calcando il palco del M.E.I. di Faenza e approdando infine al prestigioso Ypsigrock Festival (Castelbuono, PA), dividendo la scena insieme ad Apparat, dEUS , Art Brut e Paolo Benvegnù .
Nel 2009 gli Eimog si dedicano interamente alla scrittura e alla realizzazione del loro primo album, “ Scenario ". Registrato nell’arco di cinque mesi presso i Vertigo Studios di Siracusa sotto la supervisione di Toti Valente (Albanopower) e masterizzato ai prestigiosi Nautilus Studios di Milano, l’album rappresenta un tentativo di esprimere le esperienze maturate da ogni singolo membro della band, umanamente ed artisticamente, nel corso degli ultimi anni. Sei tracce strumentali come sei pagine di un diario, attraverso paesaggi immaginari e fascinazioni sonore ora riconducibili alla musica ambientale ora al post-rock di matrice classica, in un viaggio emozionale lungo 57 minuti. Arricchite dagli archi di Jascha Parisi (violoncello) e Sarah Diana (violino), le canzoni di Scenario sono state presentate in anteprima il 29 agosto 2009 presso il Giardino della Kolymbetra , nella cornice mozzafiato della Valle dei Templi di Agrigento, in un evento speciale promosso dal FAI (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano). La serata ha registrato il tutto esaurito.
Attualmente gli Eimog sono sotto contratto con la Sudway Productions , neonata indie label siciliana; “Scenario” sarà distribuito anche in Giappone dalla Friend Of Mine Records . Il 2010 vedrà la band impegnata a promuovere il disco nel suo primo tour internazionale.
