BIOGRAFIA BAND:
Il complesso musicale si forma nell' inverno campidanese del 1999 con il nome "Fury Leak".
Tutto nasce dalla proposta di Carlo al batterista del gruppo serramannese “GGFuma”, Christiano, di realizzare un progetto di base crossover. Per la voce e la chitarra Carlo contattò Bruno e Francesco(B8).
Dopo un primo periodo di cover di band come Deftones, Coal Chamber, Linea77 (con la preziosa collaborazione di Davide degli Alzheimer) si formarono presto i primi brani;in questi pezzi le influenze sonore dei singoli venivano filtrate principalmente da grosse ritmiche di percussioni; le parti vocali sentono anche delle influenze hip hop focalizzate principalmente nel pezzo con gli Entroterra, giovane gruppo rap affermato nel sud-Sardegna ma soprattutto amici di lunga data.
Dopo un anno e mezzo di intensi sabati di prove, assemblee musicali, feste di paese e locali della zona, il progetto si è perso nell’estate del 2001 per una situazione ingestibile tra i due gruppi di Christo.
Ma dopo 5 lunghi anni passati tra progetti solisti e altri gruppi, una sera del maggio 2006, Bruno, appena uscito dal progetto "YesNoMaybe" con Francesco e Carlo, ritenta una fuga d’amore con Christiano il quale accetta entusiasta. Il nome viene cambiato, ma sulla base del vecchio diventa EFFELLE.
A fine giugno ‘07 esce il primo cd-demo autoprodotto intitolato “Fury Leak” contenente 11 tracce. Il cd è stato registrato in presa diretta, tranne le parti vocali. Le registrazioni e il mixaggio sono stati fatti al Foxi Studio di Giò Mancosu a Quartu S.Elena nella primavera del 2007. Molte parti vocali sono state registrate all'Entroterra Studio di Francesco Trudu a Samassi.
Nell’aprile del 2008 è uscito il primo videoclip della band. Il video, autoprodotto, è stato realizzato grazie al prezioso contributo del videomaker Simone Perra. Il brano, intitolato “Ikiru”, farà parte del prossimo disco della band.
Nel maggio 2008 il gruppo si qualifica al secondo posto su 51 band al Nastro Azzurro Live Contest tenutosi a Cagliari. Nel settembre del 2008 la band ha aperto i Millencolin al MySummerFest, punkhardcore Festival. Nel 2009 la band è stata inserita nell’edizione primaverile della rivista “Ryanair Magazine” dopo essere stata notata in un concerto ad Alghero. Dopo il secondo posto del XIII Meeting Marmilla 2008 organizzato da Artes et Sonos, nel 2009 la band si aggiudica il primo posto al XIV Meeting Marmilla.
BIOGRAPHY:
The band was born in the winter of 1999 with the name "Fury Leak".
Everything was launched by Carlo. He suggested a crossover project to Christiano, GGFUMA's drummer; then they contacted two school-day friends, Bruno(iMp) and Francesco(B8), for voice and guitar. After a first period when they perfomed just cover songs, they wrote their original pieces. Sound influences in band songs were filtered by strong rhytm of percussions. Vocal parts felt the effect of rap influences especially after a featuring with "Entroterra", a well known rap band of South Sardinia and, above all, long standing friend of the band.
After one and a half year of intensive rehearsals, live performances at scholastic meetings, local festivals and clubs, the project got lost in the summer of 2001 because of Christo's difficulties to manage himself in two different bands.
But after 5 long years of soloist projects and featurings with other bands,in may 2006 Bruno,who had just got out from the project with the band YESNOMAYBE with Francesco e Carlo, tried to win Christiano back! He was enthusiast. The name was changed, and, on the basis of the old one it became EFFELLE (FL). On June 2007 the first cd/demo, self-produced, came out with the title "Fury Leak". It contains 11 tracks in live recording except for the vocal parts. Recording and mixing have been carried out at Giò Mancosu FOXI Studio in Quartu S.Elena during the spring of 2007. Many vocal parts have been recorded at Entroterra Studio of Francesco Trudu in Samassi. On september 2008 the band have opened Millencolin live performance at MySummerFest in Sardinia. In 2009, the band is on the Spring Edition of the RyanAir Magazine after a live concert in Alghero. After the 2nd place between 51bands at the Nastro azzurro Live Contest, organized by Needream entertainment, and 2nd place at 13th Marmilla Meeting 2008 organized by Artes Et Sonos, in 2009 Effelle goes on the 1st place at the 14th Marmilla Meeting.
