Formed in 2003 in Waterloo, IA, Eddie Buzzard is a collection of musicians with varied styles and taste that have come together for one thing, to create music that is emotive, intelligent, and heavy. The lineup consists of Aaron Harken on guitar, Adam Welper on drums, Chris Burks on guitar and backing vocals, and Ben Johnston on lead vocals.
In early 2006 Eddie Buzzard received world wide recognition when they were selected as one of the top 12 bands out of 15,000 entries to Nuclear Blast Records, with the distinction of being the only band from the United States to be chosen. As well as Nuclear Blast Records, Eddie Buzzard was also invited to submit their demo to Roadrunner Records U.K. for consideration.
Eddie Buzzard has played throughout the Midwest during its years of existence, playing with many of today's best rock and metal acts such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Strapping Young Lad, Stuck Mojo, Powerman 5000, Bobaflex, Entombed and many other national, regional and local bands. Eddie Buzzard plays with an energy and intensity that intrigues and entertains audiences. Eddie Buzzard plans to continue playing as many shows as possible and to continue writing more material.
