DESCRIPTION:
♥ Please join me in celebrating the life's of Charles Earl and Shirley Cunningham.

I was blessed with two very special people for parents, they were exceptional individuals. Quite a few of the pictures are from their home town and the surround area; some are from where I live now. Since the day they left us we have all been regularly visited by red birds; we now associated these lovely birds with them, which you will see in the video.

Dear Mom and Dad,

I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too, I think of you in silence I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your pictures in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part; God has you in His keeping and I have you in my heart.

Love,

Julie

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I don't know anyone who didn't think of Shirley Cunningham as striking both inside and out. She was the epitome of a woman; beautiful, kind and thoughtful, and would go out of her way to help you. When God created my father, he broke the mold. My father was a man among men. They were wonderful parents, loving grandparents, a supportive brother and sister, and a friend to all who knew them. They will be sadly missed and fondly remembered!

Shirley was a stay at home Mother and Earl was the Executive Vice President of Southern Shipbuilding Corps; well known in the marine recovery/salvage/building industry; and he built supply ships for the U.S. Navy during WWII at Higgins Shipyard. They were the beloved parents of three daughters, Patricia Taylor (Doherty), Pamela Miller, and Julie Cunningham. They were the mother-in-law and father-in-law of Bruce Wayne Miller and the sister and brother of Jewel Cunningham, in heart. They never considered themselves to be in-laws.

Earl was the brother of the late, John William, James Milton, Leon Whaley and J. Milton Cunningham, Irene Summerlin and Frances Magers. Shirley was the sister of Laverne Shinkel and the late Delores Shinkel Lang.

They were the grandparents of John Doherty, James Doherty, Apryl Stroud, Jeffrey Doherty, Staci Necaise, Wayne Miller, and Jason Miller; the great-grandparents of John Doherty, Noah Necaise, William Doherty, Addyson Necaise, Mathilde Doherty and Chloe Miller.

The song in the video is I miss you by Avril Lavigne. There is a sub-domain, at my site, in acknowledgment of my parents which can be viewed at http://www.louisianaleroux.com/thecunninghams/index.html

We miss you...
