James Cameron Percival III, also known as Dynamic, Jimmy J, J.P., etc. was called to serve as a tool to spread and display the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Hip-Hop, ministry, and fellowship.



Born in Brockton, MA in 1987 (22), Jimmy grew up in a loving family that’s started out in Brockton which later moved to West Bridgewater when he was 7 years old. As the oldest of three boys, Jimmy was not always the best role model for his brothers. His rowdy and at times violent personality progressed to tone down drastically over the years.



Growing up Jimmy always knew who Jesus Christ was and that He was special but, not growing up as a part of a church, he didn’t know that he was the son of The Lord God. Jimmy was brought up well, taught to pray and to believe in God. As far back as Jimmy could remember he was praying for random blessings, whether it was to win a baseball game or to be liked by a certain girl. He remembers a specific turning point where one night he could not stop thinking about dying. Around the age of twelve he started to come to grips with the fact that one day he would pass away and this life would be no more. He grew more scared of the unknown as he continued to cry and ponder the situation, until his mother reassured him that he would be going to Heaven when he died and everything would be ok. This sparked the interest of Christianity in his mind and Jimmy looked for answers to his questions.



Two of Jimmy’s best friends, Calvin Johnson and Nate Alger, grew up in Christian households and began to disciple to Jimmy and take him to church. Before too much time passed, Jimmy gave his life to God and started attending a Youth Ministry program at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. This is where he was able to grow in his faith and become more zealous about reaching the masses with the glorious word of God.



After graduating from West Bridgewater High School in 2005, Jimmy continued to Northeastern University, where he would major in Music Technology. After teaming up with Jacob Poore, also known as DJ Ages, he continued to produce and create secular music until he matured in his faith and decided to solely stay with Gospel Hip-Hop.



Today Jimmy is still attending Northeastern University. He is continuously working on new music to glorify and lift up the wonderful name of Jesus Christ in a versatile and diversified way; this is why he raps under the name Dynamic.
