Formed in 1994 as Carcinogenic. Dusk is known to be the originator of the entire metal scene in Pakistan. Playing Death Metal for the initial years of existence, by the late nineties the sound eventually turned more towards Progressive / Symphonic Metal.

The lineup of Faraz and Babar continued the band for many years with two world wide releases. In late 2004 after touring the Czech Republic with the likes of Textures, Coward, Susperia and Dying Passion, Babar decided to continue the band on his own due to musical differences & circumstances beyond his control. Through 2005, Babar worked with composer/sound wizard Ismail to create a very experimental Dusk record called 'Contrary Beliefs' featuring eastern classical folk ragas blended with atmospheres. This album marked the end of an era for Dusk playing atmospheric / theatrical music.

Dusk returned to playing the Metal of Death & Doom in the year 2006, with Babar passing on the vocal duties to long time friend and fellow metal comrade Yusri Maha Durjana of Cardiac Necropsy fame. Aman Durrani (Guitar), Noxaleem (Violin) & Akhter Qayyum (Percussions / Chants) were also recruited to complete this latest four song offering by Dusk titled Dead Heart Dawning, which saw the light of the day also through a three way split titled 'Rise of the Eastern Blood also featuring 'Demonic Resurrection' from India and 'Severe Dementia' from Bangladesh.

In 2007 Babar contributed bass duties to mighty Asian beasts 'Impiety' and 'Trans Orient Express' (an experimental troupe from Spain). Winter 2007 saw the addition of the legendary Tremor to the ranks of Dusk (a great honor according to Babar). With the current lineup of Tremor (Damages), Yusri Maha Durjana (Throat) and Babar (now taking the duty with guitar and bass assault) Dusk recorded three new tracks, two of these are recorded to be released as split 7 inch with Asian bestial brothers 'Envenom' (due out Autumn 2008) and Bomber (A rendition of the Motorhead classic) is to appear on an international Motorhead tribute also due out in the later months of 2008.

Style now strictly falling under 'No Mercy Rock N Roll' (AKA Thrash Death Metal) Dusk will record the Horde's fourth full length in summer 2008.
