Not only a phenomenal singer, August has paralleled his vocal ability with a song writing skill that is so often missing in the pop music of today. His ability to blend the abstract with the norm along with concept driven writing has been a recipe for success.



Khari’s first opportunity as a producer came from a close friend Ira Schick who hooked him up with music supervisor Barry Cole. This led to a placement for background music in the HBO film Disappearing Acts. His next came from Super producer Swizz Beatz who heard a track Khari had done and promptly placed his wife Mashonda and LL Cool J on it for his G.H.E.T.T.O Stories album.



Khari then went on to work with Infa Red and Cross (Ruff Ryders), Chip Fu, Nappy Roots and few other new artists. Recently Khari signed an exclusive publishing deal with Universal Music and Blingtones and also formed Duke and Hazzurd music with singer, songwriter and producer extrodinaire August.



The dynamic duo have written and produced for Nappy Roots, Skinny Deville, Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter(Sony/Bmg), In Essence(Sony/Bmg Canada), Benita Washington(Comprenda), Bobby Creekwater(BGOV/Shady), Corey Lee(Universal Canada), Janelle (Soul Clap/Universal) , Seven (YG Entertainment, Korea), Kasual(Maple/Universal Canada), Jhevon Paris (SPG/Universal Canada) Josh Williams (Australian Idol) Lemarvin (Motown) and currently a whole album project for Austraila's world boxing champion Anthony Mundine!!!
