the music of producer and mastermind stefan korn has graced more than a hundred releases worldwide. he also continously writes music for german tv's series of culture-clips "global vision"
on "liquid meditations- ambient reworks" korn continues to explore new musical soundscapes, this time .
subtly expanding the sonic palette to the chilled & ambient dimensions of dubdiver's sound.
"liquid meditations" is a lush and dreamy musical journey fusing relaxing electronica and rich ambient textures. it sets you into some very calm zoned out mode, relaxing and mellow in almost a spiritual feeling. the music just surrounds you until you may dream dreams and drift into subconsciousness.
"liquid meditations" is more than a remix-album. it presents and evolves musical ideas from dubdiver's albums "box of secrets" and "floating beats" and two new tracks in a more ambient and chill-out style combined with fresh musical elements.
the resulting tracks sound like they'd been originally written for ambient music.
"while i was writing the music for "box of secrets" i realized that a lot of dubdiver soundscapes unfold something magic when played without all the beats and percussion.
on "liquid meditations" i wanted them to give complete expression, to have the space to evolve and to present them in an ambient setting. the deeper I got into the ambient world, the more these tracks emerged their own life" says korn.
"liquid meditations" is completed by two new tracks:
"drop of dew" emerged on ibiza during a session with musician bahramji. his rumi-vocals and meditative santoor-playing were recorded there.
with the title-track "liquid meditations" singer anja oehming once again unfolds her versatility: she weaves some unique classical vocal lines on top of levitating piano-scapes.
this organic album features brilliant sound design, it's intimate, reflective and sometimes deeply touching. it flows from beginning to end and will keep you interested the whole way.
