Fredro Starr (born April 18th) is an American rapper/actor and a member of hardcore rap group ONYX discovered by the late Jam Master Jay of Run Dmc.

The popular rapper made his acting debut in Forest Whitaker's award-winning HBO drama "Strapped," for which Starr earned a Cable ACE nomination as Best Supporting Actor. His feature film credits include "Strapped", "Sunset Park", "The Addiction", Clockers", Torque", "Light It Up and "Ride" ." He also starred in Save The Last Dance and appeared on the soundtrack with the title track "True Colors" featuring Jill Scott.

On television, Starr was featured in a recurring role on "Moesha," starring R&B singer Brandy, in which he appeared as the title character's fiancé. He has also guest-starred on "NYPD Blue", "Law & Order" and the "Wire".

Starr also co-hosted Dance 360, Paramount Domestic Television's daily, half-hour urban dance competition show. In 2009, Starr will co star with Sticky Fingaz, Mikai Phifer and Bokeem Woodbine in the Lions gate film "A Day in the life" and will also lend his voice

and produce an animated series in titled "My Lil World" on the ION network. 2009 Starr is gearing up with ONYX to release the rap/rock album, "Black Rock" as well as the launch of "MadFace Clothing", "100MAD" compilations and his long awaited solo album. He is married to Korina Longin the Croatian model.
