Here's what we have to say:

Driveblind formed in early 2001 and quickly became the biggest draw on their local Aberdeen music scene. News of this success soon filtered down south and shortly afterwards A&R reps and Londons record scouts were regularly making the trip up north to check on the bands development. By the end of 2002 and with several industry showcases and a demo deal with Polydor under their belt, Driveblind headed to America.

That summer the band inked a deal with A&M Records who signed the band after hearing a live recording. Driveblind then relocated to Los Angeles. After a number of tours including shows with Wolfmother, Rocco DeLuca and The Charlatans and several recording sessions, Driveblind had completed their debut record. Following a label shake up the band moved to Geffen Records who released the bands self titled debut in 2006.

Following much critical acclaim and great live success. Driveblind are currently working on their follow up.

Here's what THEY have to say:

"A throwback to the glory days of the big, sweeping anthem, the self-titled debut from Aberdeen, Scotland's six-piece Driveblind is just the cure for those in need of a good old fashioned jolt of mainstream rock.
With a finely tuned sound that's matured over years of relentless touring, Driveblind's bluesy psychedelic rock is drenched with deliciously catchy hooks and soaring vocals… they inject the classic rock of bands like The Who and The Band with a freshness and enthusiasm that's contagious.
With rollicking, fist-pumping rockers ("Silhouette," "Raised at Midnight," "Tell Me," "All I Want"), or sweeping, mid-tempo ballads ("Light Sleeper," "Clearer Now," "Autumn Red"), Driveblind will give rock fans both young and old ample proof that the heart of mature, well-crafted rock still beats with fury"

From "Notable CD's Overlooked In 2006" : Yahoo News (Associated Press)

"Rock has gotten a bad rap over the years, but then a group like Driveblind comes along, which shows that not all mainstream rock is as bland and predictable as you think, as evidenced by their self-titled 2006 U.S. debut.

Standouts include the album opener, "Silhouette","Light Sleeper," and the sweet acoustic strum of "Autumn Red."

Driveblind has what it takes for global success."

"Driveblind sound kind of like U2 covering The Rolling Stones, this album SOUNDS like classic late 70s rock, and sounds modern at the same time. Hammond organ plays prominently on several tracks, especially the album highlight "Raised At Midnight".

Not a single weak track on the album, and for a debut CD. wow. "

From "Top 10 albums of 2006" : Missouri University Writers Window

" one of the most underrated bands out right now…sound, great vocals, great overall bandmore of a punch than U2.

Great lyricsare confessional, personal, and agressive in some points…this is a real rock band, one that this pathetic era in music needsI can't stop listening to them. 8 out of 10"

"Driveblind is a songwriter's band…these guys don't whine like most of those TRL posers do.if this is the way modern rock is going, it certainly is taking a much better route, so let it stay on this course. "

www.monogordo.com

"Imagine Travis with the anthemic muscle of U2 and the swagger of the Who, with a sprinkling of psychedelic guitars and keyboards

Driveblind's stage show seals the deal"

Kevin Bronson, LA Times

"Haven't heard of Driveblind?

Not to worry, you will. 8 out of 10."
