Dream City Film Club was one of England's most under-rated bands of the 1990s. Propelled by the bombastic assault of bassist Andrew Park and drummer Laurence Ash, and the sonic intensity of guitarist Alex Vald, guitarist/vocalist Michael John Sheehy, radiated darkness with songs about murder, sex, drugs and violence.



DREAM CITY FILM CLUB for a glorious year or so were your best seedy back street experience, you just had to remember to wash your hands afterwards -yet another band who emerged from the ever productive, ever colourful, ever contradictory London Underground - their first releases were on ORG, they went on to deal their low slung filth with Beggars Banquet Records. Three albums emerged via Beggars. After the debut and a Peel Session, they stripped down to a three piece, less of the Bauhaus edge, more of The Stooges and The Bad Seeds and of course plenty of that X factor they've always had in abundance - and then they exploded completely in a truck load of fist fights and mutual loathing of each other.
