we are an Independent Label based in the North East of England with an office in London opening soon. The label belonged to my father over 40 yrs ago and was affiliated to EMI.



We are a highly active global record company with recorded music from UK, Europe, USA. We are expanding into Japan, China and Asia.



We have many artists on our roster from local to international. Our genres include heavy metal, Rock to urban, RnB, pop. We are continually increasing our catalogue of music recordings from across the globe and bringing up new artists on development deals before we launch them commercially.



Do feel free to send us any press pack and our A&R team with consider you, all people are replied to, although this can take some time, due to the volumes of CDS we recieve. We believe in giving feedback and advice.

We are providing an opportunity to talented, serious and struggling artists/Bands to take their career to the next step! Provide promotional material,PR and marketing companies, radio pluggers and management that you may not be able to provide yourselves, taking you into new areas to broaden your fanbase. Provide you with top quality Producers, managers and studios to work in. Give you guidance and advice, and get you into better venues. Plus much more. The list is endless!!

We are fast workers and are perfectionists! Although we never rush head first into a decision, we always make sure we are doing the right thing first.



We dont tolerate time wasters or those in this just to be famous!! It is hard work constantly and a joint effort between Artists and the Label, a two way relationship is expected.



DONT GET DESPONDENT!!!!



Come on get over it! Stop feeling sorry for yourself, sitting around saying it,s never gonna happen. Your not lucky and you havent been able to get a deal, so I cant go on!!

Come on!! This is the music industry, any Art based profession is NEVER gonna be a walk in the park. Look at all the acts who have been heading for the stars over night! They Never Last!! Cos They have never had it tough enough, to be so determined to make it work and stay up there!! Your Success is in your hands!! With or without a label.



Even if you are signed, work with your label, dont expect someone else to do all the work and sit back and wait!! Get out there together! As well as On your own and shout it out!! Make people listen to you!! Make it Happen! Cos You Can!



Dont Get Despondent, when some one tells you you havent got the X Factor! Believe in your self! Remember its only one person's opinion! If you can impress the public and create a strong base of fans, work hard and travel around promoting yourself! That is sooo Important!! Get Your Self Heard and stop the NEGATIVE thoughts.Remember there is nothing you cant achieve if you put your mind to it.



TIPS AND ADVICE ABOUT SENDING IN DEMOS/PRESS PACKS/EPK



Here are a few tips and avice on presenting your demos to us and other labels:



Firstly, the person responsible for accepting or rejecting those fabulous demos, before the owner of the label sees it, is our A&R guy.He sorts through the volume of CDs that we receive.



Please think carefully before you spend time and money sending off your demos.



Make sure you have well researched the label you wish to send

your demo to. Do they take your genre of music. Don’t waste precious time

and money sending out CDs randomly to labels. For instance, we don’t

deal with Folk Music, World Music or Cover Bands.



Try to get a feel of what the label does and if the label would suit your

music

Be careful when choosing tracks to send, make sure that they are a true

representation of what you do. A heavy metal band sent a demo, one of

tracks were really good and the other two were completely different - I mean

completely different, it sounded odd, out of tune and feeble.



Think about your band name. Does it identify what you do? This is a major

part of your image.

Logo/Photo/Artwork. Check that it is giving out the right impression - You

want a label to get the right idea about your band or music, not least the

Public who you want to buy your album. Remember you are showing yourself

as you want other people to see you.



Do not send CDs to us that we have to sign for. This is really annoying, as we

are rarely around before 11am and always miss the first delivery. We are

forced to go to the Post Office only to be rewarded with a package smelling

of stale cigarette smoke, with a demo inside that has a strange, barely

audible vocal with an acoustic guitar whose strings are completely out of tune

and about to give up the ghost at any minute…Yes, that bad!



If you want to make sure the package arrives safely, write your name and

address on the back. Then if it is not delivered, it will go back to you.

If you send stuff over the net, make sure you have a quick downloading audio

file( and make sure it works). If it takes too long to download, it clogs up the

systems and therefore has to be deleted.



Remember, it is only an opinion. Some labels won’t like your style or presentation - some labels will. Don’t dwell on rejections, there are many reasons for a label to reject a demo.



We only respond by e-mail or, usually, by letter. As it makes our job a lot more pleasant , rather than having to reject someone over the phone.

There are many good reasons for having to reject someone, even if we love the material. Be polite and professional, the music industry is a hard industry with tons of competition.



It is our choice and our right to have an opinion. We are not under any obligation to sign anyone, or even tell you why we may have decided to say no.
