Just two years after he was released from prison when Dough was just 12 years old his father died of a Cocaine and Heiroin overdose. Not long after his fathers death Dough started following in his fathers footsteps. By 13 years old he was on probation and in and out of Juvenile Detention. This progression of incarceration continued until he was 18 years old. 75 times in and out of JUVY, and was eventually sent up for 18 months when he was just 15. While Dough was away one of his closest childhood friends died and He was devastated. "My Mom, at the time put in a 24 hour release so i could make it to his funeral. i was allowed to leave for 24 hrs. i didn't come back for two weeks and eventually got my time extended a few months, but at this point in my life i didn't care at all".

Once Dough turned 18 he knew he had to take life more serious. "Then over the next year I lost 3 other childhood friends. My friend Neena lost a life long battle w cancer when she was only 19. Six months later her husband Paul died another friend almost brother that i knew since elementry school. Then that summer my friend Sam shot himself in front of his Son and his babys mom. I couldnt take it. Over the next 3 years or so were spent in the streets doing things i had to do to support myself and family".

Then in 2005 i hooked up w J-money and Sikface to form the group Royal Family. Dough claims this is where his life truly turned around. The group recorded and album together "We Get That Scratch". Then after some serious run ins with the law the group was forced to break up at the end of 2007. Dough then started working on his 1st solo album Dough Whos Dough?? feat Yukmouth, Keak Da Sneak, Mistah Fab and Gonzoe from the Regime. and the rest is history.
