Double L Biography Double L the newest and hottest rap sensation represents not just music but a new movement. They are a class act with a unique rapping style that has given them an edge over many rappers. The combination of jazz and hip-hop has given them a distinct sound unusual to the rap game. Double L’s focus is to make music that is enjoyable to all ethnic, gender and age groups. We are constantly pushing each other to bring out the best -quality and sound possible. Mathchez and Lyter have been friends since elementary, rapping over old Gospel tapes. They slowly begin crafting their art by free-styling day and night. It kind of came natural said Lyter. After going separate ways they soon hooked up again to create Matchez debut album, “Night and Day”, the album did well in the rapping community. He used this as a building block to focus on the direction he wanted to go with his music. By the summer of 2003 Lyter dropped his debut album, “In My Eyes”, which was leaving a buzz all over the Southside of Oklahoma City. Lyter’s music has been mostly influenced by Jay-z. Over the next two years the two artists would perfect their individual music styles. In the spring of 2005 they began recording a couple of tracks and realized that they were on to something, “The Beginning”, a style like no other. For the album they hooked up with producers Japla, Moe-T, Mickey C, Whisper, and N-Dex. N-Dex recently dropped his album “Ghannaboy” off blackface entertainment, producing the hit single “On Dem Boyz”. Double L surely has what it takes to be stars; sex appeal, original trendsetters who are humble artists. Double L’s music is versatile and specially made for you. The debut album consists of songs about faith, hope, love, and life. Lyter and Matchez both wrote and co-produced the entire album so everything that you hear is what they felt.
