Domino Kirke was born in London, to a musical family and at an early age took part in Kamen's W11 Children's Opera. At twelve she moved to NYC and quickly began a career as a singer/songwriter, while studying music at the prestigious Laguardia High School for the Performing arts (the school in “Fame”). Early notable performances include singing back up for Brian Ferry. After High School, Domino struck out on her own, playing solo in venues all around NYC. She soon began collaborations with producer Andreas Levin on first solo EP, working with guitarist Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Beck, Neil Diamond), drummer Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright), and bass player Sebastian Steinberg (Soul Coughin). Domino then connected with childhood friend, song writer/film maker Jordan Galland to form a new band named “Domino” which was signed by Mark Ronson to his own lable, Allido records. After recording an EP titled "Everyone Else is Boring," produced by Ronson, the band opened for Lily Allen, Gang of Four, Sean Lennon and Daniel Merriweather. Domino has finished recording her first full length album, titled “Adults Only” to be released on Galland’s label, Slush Puppy Music in February, 2010.
