Mary, nicknamed 'DollyO' was born in England on September 26th. Trained as a Soprano Classical Singer, (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity Guildhall) Classical and Celtic Violinist & Classical Viola player, (A.B.R.S.M.) Bodhran player, Jazz & Classical Piano player, (A.B.R.S.M.), trained in Classical Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance). Also studied Contemporary Dance & Physical Theatre. Performance concerts / gigs / events / appearances include: Westminster Abbey (London), The Royal Albert Hall (London) in the presence of H.R.H. Prince Edward, (broadcast on BBC Radio), with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (C.B.S.O) / Sir Simon Rattle, Mark Elder (broadcast on BBC Radio), Clifton Cathedral (Clifton), The Blakehay Theatre, (North Somerset), Dartmouth Music Festival (Devon), Beggar's Fair Folk Festival (Hampshire). Former member of two bands: Celtic / Folk (recorded 9-song professional studio album) & Acoustic Female-Fronted. I feel infinitely honoured to have performed / written / played with / supported: Ron Roesing, Gus Isidore, Steve Fishman, Pete Farrugia, The Ridgeway, Red Campion, Nick Harper & Mike Fenton. Education: Music Scholarship (Violin) at an all-girls boarding school. Leader of Orchestra (1997). String Instrumental Prize (1998). Graduated with a BA (Honours) Performing Arts degree. Attended University of Limerick BLAS Traditional Irish Music & Dance Summer School (1998).
