Whoopsy Magazine September Issue for Women in Rock:



Born and half-assed raised in El Paso AKA El Pisso I spent my time performing in musicals at The UT Dinner Theater, song writing and singing in bars for, of course, Tips to buy my mom beer. Actually my mom got my free beers since I was under aged to begin with. After performing in the rock opera “Chess” at the Kennedy Center of Performing Arts (DC) with the UTEP Theater I ended up here. I started performing here solo at venues such as the Austin Outhouse and the Cactus Café. Being told my solo artistry was too loud and angst for the calm song writer establishment pissed me off. That’s why you might see my cock from time to time hanging proudly so small minded people can just suck it or look down on it hoping theirs was as big as mine. To this day, except for my son, I don’t think I’ve written a cheesy ass Love Song, though I have many cheesy ass Get Out Of My Face Songs because those songs are fun to walk, vacuum and play to. Not fitting in helped me connect with wonderfully talented and twisted musicians. My 1st band here was Doe-Nuts, The Diamond Smugglers, Go Juice, and for a short time performed with Perkoff Productions maybe to remind myself, “Once upon a time this angry girl knew how to Tap Dance” and ,of course now, my dark and twisted trio, 20 Eyed Dragon . Always performing more by myself than with my bands because that’s how I started out here and that’s who you have to rely on or blame. I owe and have learned a lot from a lot of people.
