DL’s success has come in many forms over the years, all beginning with his song THE OTHER MAN with an Award Nomination for SONG OF THE YEAR in 2004 at the MusicOz Songwriters Awards. DL featured in the Top 50 for Australian Idol in 2004, moving on to then feature in a major International FOOTLOCKER catalogue which profiled only 3 of Australia’s major RNB acts. Continuing the success, DL’s song REALITY OF YOU made it to the Top 5 out of 4000 songs entered into the 2UE RISING STAR Competition in 2005 (as voted by sms by the Australian public). Following this, DL was listed in URBAN HITZ Magazine as one of the Top 60 Australian Urban Acts, listed alongside great artists such as Guy Sebastian and Jade Macrea. With such accolades and rave reviews in 3DWorld, DL kept working the RNB scene in Sydney for a few years, performing in Clubs such as The Cave, GAS, Red Room, The Collingwood and many more.



In 2006, DL decided to make a change - He quit his “normal life”, packed up and began the true musical journey to make 2006 THE year for DL and his music. DL spent 10 months in London throughout 2006 writing and recording his album, QUESTIONS? All songs were written/co-written by DL based on true life experiences and some serious imagination. The album is produced entirely in collaboration with a brilliant production team BNA PRODUCTIONS, signing a one album deal with the publishing house PHRASED DIFFERENTLY. The album features respected UK unsigned artists such as M COOL (a.k.a MIKE CELEKT) and SHEIGH (pronounced "She"). DL then moved back to Australia to drive the completed product made up of 12 songs – up beat hip hop tracks, smooth jams, and sincere ballads.



Since the recording of the album, DL has had great success as a song writer, gaining major exposure throughout Asia, especially Japan. Having 3 tracks now cut in exclusive Japanese deals with major artists – one example being that of “THIS IS OUR SHOW” debuting at Number 5 on the Japanese charts on the latest album, JOURNEY released by the W-INDS. “LEAVE ME ALONE” was also released for Christmas 2007. These two albums combining for sales over 70,000 CD's.



In 2007, DL was busy again – flying to London in August to write and record three new songs and coming back to Sydney for two major performances in September. Beyond performing to 2,500+ people at the JOE concert in Sydney (LUNA PARK BIGTOP), DL performed to 500 people at the elite XBOX 360 HALO 3 Launch Party (celebrating one of the biggest entertainment releases in Australian history). DL’s show currently features Mike Celekt and 4 amazing award winning hip hop funk dancers.



Late 2007, DL finished the shooting of a music video for his latest recording – Wake Up! This song is planned to be featured, through some close work with Xbox 360 Australia, on Xbox LIVE as a download where all proceeds will go to The Make A Wish Foundation. An exciting project for DL, he has the opportunity of spreading his music and message to over 80,000 people whilst being able to raise money for a fantastic charity and a great cause.



So far in 2008, DL has made some great progress. Beginning by writing and recording the anthem song for World Champion boxer Billy The Kid, which is the opening song every time BTK fights (which DL & Mike Celekt performed LIVE at BTK's World Title Fight LIVE on FOX Sports - DL also singing the Australian National Anthem). Performing at the SOLD OUT Enmore Theatre Boyz II Men concert in Sydney as the main support act – DL put on a fresh new show with his crew, and there is a great buzz awaiting is next big event appearance on stage.



DL is currently working with some amazing Sydney based musicians on putting a LIVE show together. Be on the look out for DL and JDcrew band - gigs already being booked for the second half of 2008 (to date, regularly performing at the exclusive Piano Room and many private functions)
