D.K. is an unadulterated dose of reality. His sound is a breath of fresh air in the polluted industry of thug rappers cooked up in A&R offices and marketing meetings. With a distinct voice and varied flows, DK is the type of eye opening wake up call that changes your perspective on life forever. His wittiness, lyrical word play and insight that only a veteran can achieve makes it obvious that this phenomenal new MC is about as real as it gets. "Its music for the new generation, from a grown mans perspective" he exclaims.

DK was born where hip hop culture and many hip hop icons originated- the South Bronx. Raised in East Elmhurst, Queens N.Y. where his family moved to escape the negative impacts that was fueled by the early 90's crack era, an MC was brewing. Brought up in a two parent, West Indian (Guyana) family orientated household, one would think young DK would follow a straight and narrow path. But with both parents working two jobs to pay the mortgage and his grandmother left to tend to him, he quickly strayed and was introduced to the fast money lifestyle that was popular amongst teens in his neighborhood. Three felonies, a handful of misdemeanors later, DK eventually hooked up with a local and up and coming producer "A Kid Called Roots" (well known for producing Memphis Bleek's song "Do My" featuring Jay-Z). Though seemingly polar opposites, the two cliqued. Roots was so impressed with DK's raw and untapped talent, he offered to help him record. DK reflects, "Roots helped to mold me into the song writer I am today".

Heavily co-signed by a pack of A-list producers and D.J's including DJ Absolut (credited DJ from NYC's own Hot 97fm), K1 aka Kwame (Lloyd Banks, Tweet), the Heatmakerz (Dipset/Camron), J. Waxx (Lil Kim, Big Pun), Tommy Ill, A Kid Called Roots, J-Paz, DJ Johnny Wishbone, P. Cutta, Big Mike, Wonder Twins, Soda, Clark Kent and many more. He has also caught the ear of Gotti (Source Magazine Music Editor) who gave him an excellent write up in the Source Magazine Unsigned Hype column (January 2004 Edition). He has also been acknowledged by Faith Newman (Jive Records/ responsible for discovering Nas) and Lyor Cohen that landed him a demo deal on Def Jam in the early stages of his career. Just a few of his many accomplishments include recording and featuring on Stretch Armstrong's "Spit" compilation album on Landspeed Records which featured 50 Cent, Royal Flush, Havoc of Mobb Deep and Nature, the 12 inch vinyl single release of "The Games" and "Fifteen Minutes of Fame" on Hydra Records, recorded and featured on Japans BMG recording artist "Aile" on her album "Play". Spotlight appearances on several mixtapes of DJ Absolut, DJ Johnny Wishbone, P. Cutta, Big Mike, DJ Finesse, Sickamore and many more. On stage DK's presence was felt opening for Fat Joe at the Mirage, opening act for Lil Kim at BMI's showcase, performances also include several underground hip hop showcases at S.O.B's and Maria Davis's Monday Night Madness at the Soul Café. He has also landed an administration agreement with the Royalty Network (Grown Man Music/BMI) covering his catalog for the world. DK is no new jack in this game!

As of 2010 currently working under A.Z's "Quiet Money" Imprint. With a solo album in the works, the future looks bright for this emerging artist. "Reality rap at its best" he exclaims, "no smoke and mirrors to trick impressionable consumers". Its DK's brutal honest theme thats gonna keep em coming back for more.
