Dj smerky from birmigham. he started his DJing career mixing dance,house and trance music in his bedroom at around the age of 14/15 which his sister taught himall the basics from then after practise he bought some cd decks and then after collecting some grime instrumentals done his first Grime set at his house in 2005 his name got around Walsall for doing this and had offerd off many musical crews to join but carried on as solo and had regular sets at his house which then due to the amount of intrest of mc's hes bedroom cudnt cope with the amount of mc's that wanted to be on his set so he ended up booking studio time at the map.



By the 2008 Smerky had established himself in the Birmingham Grime scene and by 2007 he sold his original cd decks and bought some Denon DN-s1000's which he loved using and was practising on them on a day to day basisi during 2006-2008 he had worked with names and crews such as Vader, Zilla, Grim, Haz, Carzee (Live And Direct/Invasion) Trilla Jermaine Trilloski (Revelations), J Bomma b, P.R.E, (Bully Boys) Sleeka, Teeza, Lil G, (MDK) Flex, Savage, (Higher Stakes) Frantic, H.A, Shifty, Angerman, Demus (C dot K), Hydro Crew, Outlaws just a few names of artists and crews who he has worked with and done sets with at studios such as 'curls' and probably the most well known studios in birimingham 'Oxygen Rooms'.



2008 onwards Smerky is part of Live And direct/Invasion and during this time he started mixing electro where he got a couple nights djing in Stein Bar Walsall also he started mixin bassline and saw that it was a popular music choice. Dj Smerky then found that he didnt enjoy electro as much as Bassline so has put his electro on hold for a while but is planning on returning to it very soon! Smerky is now continuing mixing bassline and plans to for a while.Watch this space for any new Mixes in the blogs and any events coming up!
