BIOGRAPHY



The Selph was born in 1988 in Milan, a grey place in the north of Italy.

He first go exposed to electronic music at the age of 14 thanks to various friends, listening to albums like Minimal Nation by Robert Hood, M-series by Maurizio and Sheet One by Plastikman.

He started to get interested in Djing and producing about two years later.

His music is plaied by well known artists like Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier and many others.

He's a deep/dub/detroit techno producer, releasing high quality music on labels like Apnea, Resopal, Thisorder and Grey Area.

He's going to release an ep coproduced with Matteo Milleri on Off! recordings and a solo ep on the new Xpansul's label True Type Tracks.

He plays techno/dub music in his dj sets, with dark and deep tones, keeping a hypnotic sound, broad basslines and shuffle rhythms.

The Selph recently started playing live, bringing in various clubs around Europe and, of course, Italy a dub/techno/house detroit influenced session.



Biografia (ITA):



The Selph aka Marco Giordano è nato a Milano nel 1988.

Inizia ad avvicinarsi al mondo della musica elettronica, all'età di 14 anni, grazie ad alcuni amici appassionati, ascoltando album come Minimal Nation di Robert Hood, Sheet One di Plastikman e M-series di Maurizio.

Ora, è un dj/producer e live performer di Techno scura, caratterizzata da marcate influenze dub e detroit.

Nel giro di un anno ha realizzato diversi ep su labels come la spagnola Apnea e la tedesca Resopal Schallware, sulle italiane Thisorder e Grey Area, realizzando un ep a 4 mani con l'amico Alessio Mereu. Le sue tracce sono suonate da artisti del calibro di Richie Hawtin e Adam Beyer.

Ha in programma, oltre a svariati remixes, anche due release sull'etichetta italiana "Claque Musique" e la neonata label di Xpansul "True Type Tracks".
