Raymond "DJ Reb" ...

Real name is Raymond Blount, by the way. Born in Blue Island, Illinois on September 20, 1985. I’ve been into music since I was maybe 2 or 3 years of age. My momma bought me this little toy piano and i used to play stuff that i hear off the radio or t.v. jingles. Back in ’98, my mom bought me this expensive Yamaha keyboard (still got it and i still use it) and try 2 teach myself how to play the piano. Still teaching myself as i speak. Started messin’ around w/ percussion on the keyboard (even though i played drums in the 5th grade) and started making beats of my own. That happend in early-2000. Then I started recording what i was making off my keyboard and put it on cassette and play it back. Then that shit got tiring. So I realized that i could hook that keyboard up to my computer so the 1st program i started using was Cakewalk Music Creator Pro. Still use it just for recording vocals now. Then a friend of mines burned a copy of Fruity Loops Studio 4. After that, my sound start improving. In 2002, I started rappin’ to my own beats and made a CD I was selling @ school called "Raymond Blount: Collage" (thats getting re-mastered as I speak), and that kinda shock most people. Now I got a soundclick page where i’m selling my beats, and I just made $3000 for 10 beats that I sold to a local rapper out in Oakland. So $50 worth of software I used came a LONG WAY!!!!! Right now im in the working progress on my 2nd album called "Raymond Blount: Hip-Hop’s Lonely Man". Im currently working on a couple of tracks for the artist King Kastro’s album so be on the lookout for that. Check out his myspace on my top friends.
