Welcome to DJ RIP's space - permanently stuck in the years 1990-1993 known to scholars as the 'OLD SKOOL ZONE!' (que Twilight Zone theme tune)

This section used to pretty much state that my main musical output is varying forms of house music & this oldskool stuff was more of a diversion - HOWEVER - that does seem to have changed! I am still producing house tracks under my Ian RPM guise but most of my time is now dedicated to recreating those heady days of '92

I am, fortunatley or unfortunatley - depending on your point of view, old enough (makes coughing sound that indicates somewhere in the 30's range) to have been there at the time & spent the early to late 90's at Club Kinetic which was my local club as well as going to all nighters like Starlight Judgement Day, Helter Skelter (lost count of how many trips to Milton Keynes), Dreamscape, Fantasy Island, Hardcore Heaven + loads of free parties in Wales & lots of visits to smaller nights away from Stoke.

I'm a big fan of the 'hands in the air' piano tunes so you will find me making that style of tune quite regulary but I also like alot of the darker/harder side of oldskool so expect to hear some scary sounds as well as the occasional hoover noise.

I also dj classic oldskool hardcore & you will find mnixes to download on this page - I have dj'd at Stoke Underground Music as well as various house parties & ilegal raves & I'm still up for playing so message me if you're interested in me playing at your event.

Outside of music I work in the network technical support dept for a telecommunications company (yawn!) I am hopelessly addicted to the British Touring Car Championship as well as the World Touring Cars, DTM, V8 Supercars, Dutch Supercar Challenge, LMES (including the awesome 24 hours Le Mans), ALMS, British Rally Championship, World Rally Championship - pretty much any motorsport apart from F1 (though respect to Lewis Hamilton - putting all the other British F1 drivers to shame) & Gran Turismo 4 is never off the playstation! I'm a complete cartoon junkie (I'm only phyiscally in my 30's - mentally I'm about 12 lol!) Read anything from Terry Pratchett to Orson Wells - other than that then chillin with friends is my fave passtime - don't get out raving that much these days - STOKE SUCKS - Kinetic is now a Wilkinsons hardware store (sacralidge) & stoke seems to be trying to make its self some sort of low rent las vegas with Casinos & lap dancing clubs - all the true dance clubs have been forced out - Shelleys, Kinetic, The Void - gone - double BOOOO to The Stoke Authorities.
