A third generation Native Arizonan, Perry spent his early DJ days spinning at a dozen of small clubs, sports bars, and odd ball gigs. It wasn't until 1998 when he became a regular at Club Rio spinning 2-3 nights a week for over a year. Even though the place is shut down now, it opened the door to radio since that's where he met his connections to his first AZ residence: "Mega 104.3" and sister station "Energy Az" (later changed format to The Beat).

With radio being his first love, Perry grew up listening to Hot Mix (Dave Rajput), Powertools (Eddie Amador), and Planet Edge / Edge Factor (Markus Schulz). Being able to spin multi-formats, Perry has been influenced by all the mentioned mixshows and then some. These programs are now in the past, but Perry keeps these records alive on his various syndications and Internet Streams.
As a former employee of legendary "Plastik Records" (owned by Schulz), Perry had the opportunity to guest DJ on the Edge Factor back in 1999. He also helped out with some shows for Hot Mix (a syndicated mixshow) that aired locally on 101.5 The Zone (AZ) and nationally on stations throughout the country in 2000.
In 2003, Perry joined Energy & Mega doing mixes, board operating, and producing. After a couple years, he began hosting his own Mixshows and picking up some weekend slots. Even through all the changes at both stations, Perry was very involved in many shows like the "Friday / Saturday Night Mega Mix," "Boogie Nights / Boogie Mix," the "Old School Workout at Noon," "Nocturnal Energy," the "Rewind Lunch," the "Energy Nooner," "The Factory," and the "Friday Night Club House." After a format flip in November of 2008, Energy AZ signed off and launched "92.7 / 99.3 / 101.1 The Beat." Perry was a regular every Friday Night spinning Classic Hip Hop. In addition to that, he also was the producer for "Big Boy's Neighborhood" up until the end of 2010.
Now Perry does syndicated Mixshows on a number of FM stations (NM, NJ, CT) including Mesa's new Hit Music Station, 90.7 The Goldmine (KVIT AZ). Monday through Friday, Perry does the 7am Morning MiniMix with Steve Grosz. Then on Fridays, catch him on "The Weekend Jump Off" (9p-Mid) and also for "The House Connection" Late Saturday Nites (Mid-2am) MST.
With the rise of Internet Radio, Perry can also be heard worldwide from a handful of streams daily. "Addicted to Radio" from Chicago has thousands of listeners all over the globe, and Perry mixes on 6 of their format channels at various times. "PartyRadioUSA.net" from New York streams Perry weekdays for the "Old School Cafe" during Lunchtime (EST). Another Mix Perry just picked up is from Florida on "Star 107." For all the House heads, catch Perry's weekly House sets on "The Goldmine," and "Z88.9" from
New Jersey. Make sure to view the "Schedule" page on DJPerry.net for more info and times to stream DJ Perry shows
