I've been playing music since I was 11. I started on guitar, but pretty soon realized that upright bass fits me better. I got into music because of rockabilly, but over time discovered other styles like blues, swing, bop, bluegrass, baroque, classical, punk and especially different ethnic sounds from Balkan and Middle East that struck me really hard. I was lucky to play with some of the best musicians from Serbia. My main bands were Havana Whisper (neo swing, rockabilly), Marsya (Balkan), Shira Utfila (Middle Eastern) and Atomic Sunset (nu hot rodded rockabilly), but I played in many other local gypsy, jazz, blues and other type of music bands. I finished classical music conservatory and department for jazz, but always preferred playing with talented, energetic and charismatic musicians then polished classical nerds. Don't get me wrong, I love classical music! Often those guys (Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Wagner.) had much more punk in their music then nowadays punks. I moved to US to play with more musicians that are raised with all that cool stuff that came from here. Here, I had luck to perform with some real legends like Scotty Moore band, Wanda Jackson, DJ Fontana, Sonny Burgess, Dale Hawkins, Joe Clay, Eddie Bond, Gene Summers, Travis Wammack, Jody Williams, Billy Boy Arnold etc. I was also a member of Deke Dickerson and the Ecco-Fonics and rock'n'roll supergroup the Head Cat (featuring Lemmy from Motorhead and Slim Jim Phantom from Stray Cats). Besides Atomic Sunset, my current main band is Fishtank Ensemble that I have been traveling with all over the world. Even busier than ever, I'm always open for new interesting music projects!
I play Blast Cult basses, Thomastik-Infeld strings and Planet Wing pickups exclusively.
