Dj Kue

DJ Kue started Djing back in 1991. Allways facinated by dancehall due to a close friend who imigrated to the states from Jamaica and artist's like Buju Banton & Shabba Ranx as well as listening to tapes of soundsystems like Stone love, Killamanjaro & Chinese Laundry. But it was not until 1994 that kue started to really learn the craft and begin to start playing at local party's and nightclubs. In 1998 he began playing at various latin clubs where a few Dj's would have to compete for the Hip Hop or Reggae Set. Fortunatly, Kue who would go against the sound scape grain of those particular clubs and play current dancehall/reggae tunes that would not normally be played, open the ears and eyes of his peers when they used to see the crowd in a frenzy while Kue was playing his sets. Suddenly other club promoters where calling kue to bring that energy to there clubs from New York to Las Vegas & Miami. In 2000 Kue was introduced to Shaggy's Long time Manager/ Producer & Big Yard Music Group CEO Robert Livingston. A relationship was formed and Kue was offerd a Job in the Promotions Dept. Now years later Kue holds a few titles as General Manager of the NY office / Road Manager / PA & Dj for some of the artist's on Big Yard Music Group. Currently kue has been on tour with Shaggy since may of 06', taking him to countries all over the world. When asked if he enjoys what he is doing, kue replys.
