Not many DJ’s can claim to have played with legends like Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Bob Sinclair, Pete Tong and Eric Morillo more than once! During his 13 years behind the decks, James has developed a unique and exciting style playing real house music, from uplifting grooves to tuff,, dirty, electro beats, keeping it fresh, and ‘Always Funky.’



He moved to Valencia Spain in 1998 and soon was one of Spain’s “in demand” Dj’s after rocking the Spanish clubs for 4 years. He was resident for Spain’s Trade parties, and main DJ for the Heineken Club Tour and infamous Marlboro Dance Tour.



During his 4 productive years on the Spanish mainland he held down numerous residencies, playing out every night of the week. He was a key figure in building the explosive “House music” scene that exists today in Valencia by molding clubs like Caballito de Mar, 69 Monos, and The Face into venues recognized nationally because of their music. At the same time he played guest spots all over Europe to include: The Escape (UK, Brighton), Future (Greece, Corfu), Discoteque (Barcelona), Kapital (Madrid), KU (Benidorm), Dreamers (Marbella), Privilege (Ibiza), Puzzle (Valencia) Roxy (Amsterdam) and the Ministry of Sound Dance Nation Tour (UK).



His persistence, talent and technical genius led him to Ibiza, where for 5 years running now he has graced the decks at the Islands hippest floors, including of course, the infamous Manumission at Privilege, The Space Terrace, Café Mambo, Underground, Bora Bora and Eden.



Since arriving back in the UK in September 2002 James Fitch has guested at: The Cross, Koko club, Turnmills, Soulheaven, Fever, The Key, Media, The Opera House (All in UK), Nirvana Lounge (Paris), Galaxy and Los Patankos (Lithuania), Catwalk (Barcelona), Metro (Alicante) Socho’s & 360 (Dubai) to name a few. His current schedule includes: frequent dates for Formula at various London clubs, a residency for Hat Club at The Zap (Brighton), a monthly residency for Prologue at The Egg (London) and Time at the HoneyClub (Brighton), A bi weekly residency at Ponana (Brighton), a twice monthly summer residency at Budhha del sol (Valencia), and his monthly showdown at Spanish super club Space (Valencia). James has a busy diary of exciting gigs lined up for the year: including his 4th visit to Dubai, and gigs in Thailand and China.



It’s not just behind the decks that Mr Fitch is creating attention, but on the production scene too. He started out as Phillips & Fitch, with his 1st track Sex Lies & Cocaine lines getting remix treatment from heavyweights Deux, quickly becoming an anthem on the Terrace at Amnesia in Ibiza. The follow up Pass the Funk was snapped up by Illegal Beats and created tremors, hitting Radio 1 and the Ministry of Sound Big Tunes compilation amongst others. Now James has spread his wings producing with local Brighton partner in crime Ben Prok as Prok & Fitch. Their first production The Chant was snapped up by Roger Sanchez & his Stealth label after being an anthem in Pacha Ibiza over summer 06, it’s due for release in Autum 2007 with huge remixes!! Their follow up tracks are quickly being signed by big players like Hoxton Whores and remix work is flooding in thick & fast, their 1st being for Filthy Rich’s Get Down monster. It doesn’t stop there though… As well as being in the studio with Guy Williams for a new production picked up by Funkagenda’s Pop Pop label James has finished his 1st solo track Perfect Motion which is already gaining Radio 1 support and plays from the top boys!
