DJ Charma

Following 3 years building on the underground circuit, Charma began his career on UK radio hosting the first ever show on London's Vybe FM in 2003. Quickly recognised as one of the leading UK Garage shows in London, his reputation for supporting the latest cuts across the scene grew instantly. In 2004 his show was the most popular underground radio show at the UK People's Choice Awards, and after a 2nd national feature on BBC Radio 1, appearances on 1Xtra propelled Charma to the forefront of UKG.



With a runner up finish at the People's Choice Awards as Best Newcomer DJ in 2004, Charma has been on 3 tours of Russia, and has performed in Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, and the USA. 3 international radio appearances came in 2006, and his own radio show continues to earn worldwide support from across the globe. Working as MJ Cole's Label Manager at Prolific since 2005, Charma also runs the Prolific Club Night - a pioneering event showcasing today's UK Garage sounds. His own record label Stereohype Recordings is another of today's leading UK Garage labels with its own Mp3 and Vinyl shop launched in 2007. In all he has been involved in releasing no less than 58 tracks in 2006.
