The 30-year-old Connecticut native began DJing in 1994 and quickly became a national sensation, DJing at clubs, special events, and colleges from coast to coast. By 2001, however, Big Mike recognized that, with the mixtape scene exploding, his ability to recognize what the hip-hop community would embrace was an invaluable asset.
