A rising sun out of Phoenix, Arizona better known as DJ Astonish aka Paul M. Montoya was born on May 31st, 1985. Before Paul took his first breath he was born with a music gene unknowing his father was a DJ in the 80’s that passed on an extensive amount of classic records in milk crates for him and also his grandfather who played guitar at local restaurants in the valley. Music was never a challenge and neither were gaining his turntable skills and getting gigs at the young age of 15 at 21 and over club nights were even easier.



2000 was the year Astonish decided to take the world by storm by entering local DJ competitions and winning. With no losses from the years 2003 - 2007, Astonish is still Arizona’s 1 DJ. These Competitions include The Arizona DMC world Championship, The Guitar Center Spin-Off, Lipton Brisk DJ Battle, etc… The number one thing people get confused by hearing this is that they believe Astonish is only a battle DJ, but when in all reality Astonish is a DJ that believes in being skilled in all aspects of a DJ and his number one priority is pleasing the crowd that is place in front of him. Which explains why today he is still number one.



In the past 4 years Astonish has traveled around the United States giving crowds what they want from Hollywood’s El Rey Theatre, Colorado’s Boulder Theatre, New Mexico’s Sunshine Theatre, Las Vegas’s Rumjungle, Risque, Voodoo Lounge, and Studio 54, New Olean’s House of Blues, etc… This recent year Astonish got to showcase for over 1 million people in Las Vegas at various venues for the NBA’s 2007 ALL STAR WEEKEND.



Astonish is all about blowing up the city of Phoenix and putting his mark on the map which is why he has been on every major radio station in AZ (power 92.3fm, 104.7 Kiss fm, and 95.1 Latino Vibe). You can also buy two major mix cd releases he put out in 2007 that are highly anticipated titled “Welcome 2 Da Zone” and Willy Northpole Presents “The Pre-Mix” that feature Phoenix‘s top artist that are signed to G-Unit, DTP, & Blackwall Street.



Currently Astonish is a member of The Bumsquad Djz/Vinylpusher Djs/Versatile Djs/Arkane Movement. In 2 years Astonish plans to be ranked the number 1 DJ in the world. Astonish has a club music style no other DJ can match with hype party beats from beginning to end. When Astonish is behind the Turntables the song selection is unlimited and the style is beyond this world. Arizona was just the start now its time for the rest of the world to experience Astonish.
