the jewel Dismal was created back in June 1995, when Bradac and Afelio joined in symbiosis with Earth's Soul.
Since the beginning, Dismal chanted about their 'alma' and its trascendental wanderings, turning into a visionary syntesis of their own sublimation, while their works express particular alchemic dimensions comparable to the metamorphic stages of a butterfly.
The hypnotic images created by the two artists during the years, describe the visions of a mind drunken by paradox, on its inner path to the inevitable implosion and the consequent conversion of an inner pale sun.



In november 1998 releases the debut cd "Fiaba Lacrimevole_like a red bleeding rose in a glacial desert" , which also introduces the female singer Margan. The album is a fairy drama divided in three acts, based on symbolism and metaphors referred to the introspective experience. The theatrical part is now more intense than before and the musician becomes actor in an oneiric context, soaked with an enchanted realism and glacial apparitions.
In 2001, the new singer Ae replaces Margan. With this new line-up Dismal released the new petal "Dionisiaca" .
After only 4 months, "Dionisiaca" sold all the 1000 copies of the limited edition and became sold-out, due to the positive responses coming from many European nations.
In September 2002 Dismal sign a new deal with DreamCell 11 Entertainment /Aural Music-SPV and in October of the same year they enter the studios to record the long-awaited sophomore album "Rubino Liquido -three scarlet drops…" with the support of a real orchestra of 12 elements and Marco Calliari (known for his work with the famous italian pop band Subsonica) as the producer.

The bleeding Rose that once sprouted in the ices, is now weeping three scarlet drops which represent the three chapters of the new album "Rubino Liquido". It is a triptych of metaphors, leading to the most distant and glacial regions of the mind and describing, through a deep lexical and musical research, the wanderings and transmutations of the transcending 'I'.



A few months after „Rubino Liquido" was released, the famous electronic artists Yendri and Stark remixed two songs taken from such album, respectively "tre scarlatte stille" and "esse" .



After that, Dismal moved to the beautiful Lucca and released their first videoclip "a Venere", helped by the director Duccio Bardini

The year 2006 has been completely dedicated to the conception and creation of "miele dal salice" , the most intense and voluptuos chapter of Dismal's spiritual and artistic research. The new opus also marks the artistic communion of Afelio and Bradac with the wonderful singer Rossana Landi (professional jazz singer and graduate at the academy of music with double-bass), who replaced the previous singer Ae.



"miele dal salice" also contains a multimedia-track: the new singular audio/visual experience for the videoclip of "lana".

"miele dal salice" brings the listener into an aristocratic limbo, like a sort of bizarre 'carnival of the mind', where everything is its own opposite and the borders of madness are constantly grazed. Waltzes and tangos are weaving, and the same old musical structures 'verse-chorus-verse' are blown away. It's a very personal interpretation of the gothic architecture, seen through different points of view and keys. For its own hermetic symbolism and its rich metaphors, the opus appears as a primitive and majestic expression, dense of silent messages and thin vibrations.
