"It's not often that you can create an original project, work with some of the most exciting musicians in the alternative rock genre and then dedicate it to autism. That is exactly what Ross Harris did." - Spectrum

Dimension 5

- The fifth dimension. Also, the radio wave. Light. Infrared. Heat. Or, to Bruce Haack and Esther Nelson, the dimension of imaginationand to those turned-on and the dimension of possibility. It was in this dimension that the disc you are holding was born. Now in order of appearance:

Bruce Haack - A lonely only-child who raised in a sleepy mining town in Alberta, Canada. He would grow up to become a father of electronic music and gifted composer/songwriter who could scribble Carnegie Hall onto a laundry list of life achievements right next to Julliard dropout.

Haack's musical career careened through the 1950s--he wrote radio ditties for the Dot and Coral record labels on one day, experimented with enough tape loops, violins, sopranos, and electronics to transform a Belgian ballet commission into a treatise on mechanical music on the next. He was an unparalleled innovator who constructed synthesizers and soundtracks befitting the zenith of the space-age. He was also an unbridled creative force in need of just enough bearing to keep from self-destructing.

Esther Nelson - A childrens dance teacher and lyricist. Also, first mate at the helm of Haacks creative energies. In 1962, Nelson and Haack met and formed the Dimension 5 record label. Together.

Dimension 5 led children on anthropological expeditions into the deepest grottos

of army ant hills; landed them in the seat of honor at arthropod luncheons; snaked their bodies around trees like late-afternoon shadows; and do-si-dod their hands and fingers at desktop hoedowns.

Dimension Mix

- Southern California-based multimedia artist and producer, Ross Harris, and Eenie Meenie Records have invited many of todays most innovative recording artists to revisit the Dimension 5 recordings. In the process of producing the Dimension Mix record, one thing has become very clear: the Dimension 5 sound is as fresh and exciting today as it was thirty years ago. Likewise, Bruce Haacks commitment to the betterment of children is as important today as it was a quarter century ago. In keeping with his legacy, Eenie Meenie Records will donate a portion of all proceeds from the sales of Dimension Mix to Cure Autism Now.

Autism affects one in 166 children. Until now, very little has been understood about this developmental disorder that impairs a persons ability to communicate and socially interact. Cure Autism Now believes that with the right funding, research, education and awareness, it is possible to prevent, treat and ultimately cure Autism.

It is in the spirit of Dimension 5, the dimension of imagination and the dimension of possibility, that we can find a cure.

PACKAGE DEAL: CD & TEE SHIRT COMBO NOW $20! $12 each. All proceeds still go to finding a cure for autism!
