Biography

Brother and sister combo Skip and Sarah formed Die Pretty in 2009. Their first release, "Bittersweet" was picked up and released by Unconform Records in 2009 out of Frankfurt, Germany. With great reviews coming out of Europe, a global release on iTunes and through InGroove distribution, Die Pretty was gaining a fan base quickly overseas. Then the label went folded and Die Pretty were left on their own.
But the group didn't stop. While playing the NYC and Brooklyn music scene, Die Pretty was discovered by producer/engineer Oliver Straus(Matt and Kim, All Time Low, Cobra Starship, All American Rejects) and starting recording at Mission Sound Studios in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Recently they just finished "Battle Over Brooklyn" their newest EP (Due out on iTunes April 30th).

Die Pretty is throwing an album release show at NYC's popular Crash Mansion on bowery in the lower east side of Manhattan on 4/16/11.

DiePretty formed in 2008. Brother and sister Skip and Sarah stemmed Die Pretty
from a previous band and developed their aggressive style of combining
punk and catchy rock. Skip and Sarah teamed up with drummer Angelo Merendino(The Vacancies/Blackheart Records) and guitar player Tommy Cai in late 2008 and Die Pretty was born. They have graced the stage with such acts as Goldfinger,
Everclear, Pennywise, The Living End and many more. They have been compared to Green Day, Pennywise and Social Distortion (bumbanet.de) Die Pretty released "Bittersweet," their first full length album throughout Europe on Unconform Records in February 2009. The Brooklyn based band is currently playing in the NYC Metro area in support of their new record and are looking to jump on a U.S. tour soon.
