Music has been the most powerful force in my life for longer than I can remember. As the daughter of a singing mother, I have been absorbing rhythms since I was a fetus in her womb. During my early childhood I would sing along to Venezuelan ballads that my mother sang and play on the piano with my father or my brother (talented singer, composer and producer Dan Silva). I knew then that music would shape my life.
At the age of 16 (2002) I left my family in Tenerife in order to broaden my musical horizons. I left for Barcelona, where I had won a place studying classical piano at the Badalona Music High School. Aside from my academic progression I undertook an enriching cultural development. Frequenting the abundant "jam sessions" that Barcelona offers, I was able to meet an intriguing array of international musicians who have helped and inspired my musical education. I began performing regularly in public, composing my own songs, experimenting with new musical genres, collaborating with musicians and Mc's, producing for different Hip-Hop and R&B artists from Spain, performing with different bands in styles like Salsa, Reggeae, Hip Hop or Pop and also working as a vocal producer and recording engineer.
I also begun working in a project called ROOTSMAMA, a girl band in which I took part as a composer, singer and keyboard player for a period of 4 years, most of those spent performing between Morocco and Barcelona.
Finally, in 2010 I got my degree in Jazz & Modern Music Singing in ESMUC (High School Music from Catalonia), that enabled me to show my talent, not only on stage, but in paper.
In 2011, I decided to explore the US, moving for a brief second to Florida, where I met American record producer Frankie Biggz & his wife IreneB, that offered me both a publishing & a record deal and convinced me to move back to Spain, where I've recently participated on the Spanish soundtrack of the movie HAPPY FEET 2 (Warner).
In 2012 I will be releasing my 2nd album with American label RAMA MUSIC and will keep on working as a composer & producer for their publishing company, TEMPO USA.
