Asking 100 people what their definiton of punkrock was, you'd get 100 different answers. Asking those 100 people if D-Fame played punkrock, you'd probably get one answer.

This is what D-Fame would answer: "F***, who cares?".

As "punkrock" as guys with cars, jobs and cellphones can get, they're OK with the cliche: Fast drums, catchy guitars, melodic vocals, powerful brass section. Ready to be categorized and matched with other bands, but feeling like home in their category.

"Maybe we're not reinventing music, but we're definitely convinced of the way we play it."

To put it simple: "Melody-SKAte-Core" from Aachen, Germany, estd. 1999.

The band:

Oli – guitar + vocals

Chris – guitar

Rob – drums + vocals

Tom – bass

Guido – trumpet

Markus– trombone

The first demo-CD "Amazing Daze" (8 songs + bonus-track) was recorded at the "Klangfabrique" in Lohmar in not more than two weekends. The CD sold like hot cakes at its release-party. Later on, it was introduced to the public on the german radio station “Einslive”.

As the band is equipped with a brass section consisting of trumpet and trombone for the past couple of years, their recent songs are stamped by ascendancies of Ska à la Reel Big Fish and Mad Caddies. In spring 2003, the second EP "Happy-Hour" was produced at the "Klangfabrique" again.

In contrast to "Amazing Daze", "Happy-Hour" features more rocking, snappy chords, more melody, more Punkrock, more D-Fame.

Furthermore, their songs "Holiday Experience", "Weak", "Beverly’s Hills" and "Grieving On A Jetplane" are to be found on several compilation CDs (e.g. From Punk To Ska vol.3. [Wolverine Records], Street Attack vol.3 [Noisegate Productions] and Welcome to the Loonybin [Unpopular Disclose Records], Titus Tunes vol.3 [Titus],.).

Both albums can be ordered through D-Fame's website http://www.d-fame.de or http://www.punklabel.com.

Presently, the band is working on new projects and recordings. New sounds will be available in mid 2010.
