Devoted To Christ
By way of introduction, my name is Tarell Martin and I am 24 years old. From the age of 3, the Lord placed a passion in me to worship Him in music. My father, Pastor Timothy Martin, taught me to play the drums and I loved them so much that I continue to play them to this day. At the age of 10, God deposited in my spirit the desire to assemble a group of minstrels who share my passion to worship in song to reach out to youth and those who are young at heart. We would share with them the joy of the Lord that God has a plan for their lives and that they are not too young to praise and live for Him. I knew that God was going to bring this about somehow, I just didn't know when. In 2000, God released the desire in me to form the group. After much prayer, God brought the right people and "Devoted to Christ" was born. The name is a testimony of our lives to Christ.
The group consists of talented individuals: Nina Robinson, Davetta Lewis, ChaRel Wright, Sonia Hardy, Stephanie Summers, Donna Henry(Fla), Maurice Larry, Josiah Martin(Ga) and Timothy Martin.
We fully express the finest music in contemporary gospel styles. Our credits include opening for Kim Burrell, Dawkins & Dawkins, Mary Mary, the Clark Sisters, Chrystal Rucker, and Tarralyn Ramsey, as well as ministering within the Body of Christ at many churches, denominational conventions, and our own personal performances nationwide.
Our mission statement is to spread the Gospel to all ages, with emphasis on the youth, that however they choose to express their worship to God, He receives it, as we minister and live up to the God-appointed name, Devoted to Christ.
