wanderers with grin on their faces and tattoos of tears.

refurbished sound/orchestrated noise/distorted vision.

curious creatures finding their own way around sound.

like collectionists interested in what others reject or can't find use for.

to give it a new life, a new name and a different meaning.

mixing analogue and digital equipment, electroacoustic techniques with electronics, toys and circuit bent objects with vocals and noise.

loud or quiet, clean or distorted, no preconceptions, restraint as a tool to reach further, sink deeper, spread out wider.

in their world sound and image work together or against each other.

hearing becomes a spiderweb to capture the other senses.

like kids in a park using whatever catches the attention and it's fun.

to get lost and then try to find the way back.

again and again.

between 2004 and 2007 devotchka.s conundrum performed in various occasions and different settings, among these at the 'Oui Le Bruit' sonic art showcase, as part of Scamleys -a temporary anarchist toy shop-, for site-specific mixed media collective Omsk, at the launch of Sudden Infant's album 'Invocation of the Aural Slave Gods', for NoSignal, and supporting Big City Orchestra, combining real-time sampling and loops with interactive visuals to involve the audience actively.

devotchka.s conundrum also created 'the ugly monster by the lake', an installation at Yorkshire National Sculpture Park, collaborated with Black Sun Productions and produced videos, as well as radiophonic pieces broadcasted on Resonance Fm and IllFm Radio.

"Pardon my early exit; hope you survive!", the latest adventure of The Wolf, one half of Devotchka.s Conundrum, debuted live under a starry sky in summer 2008 at the Queer Rebel Days in Berlin.
