1 CONCEPT: s'inspirer des meilleurs artistes de DETROIT, et vous étes censés les connaître mais bon on ne sait jamais, nous sommes en France donc je les énumère J DILLLA RIP( the genius), BLACKMILK (the future) PHAT KAT (the voice) GUILTY SIMPSON (the thug), SLUM VILLAGE (the heroes).
UNE AMBITION : Elaborer cette mixtape n’était que le point de départ, les retours sont excellents et le succès d’estime ne se fait pas attendre : Des beats audacieux et variés, des textes forts, des flows hors norme , 3 voix et 3 styles distincts ,des refrains « catchy » toujours en anglais qui font mouche immédiatement.
Le collectif D3CCPT en veut plus et passe au stade supérieur en autoproduisant son premier maxi avec pour single l’imparable « Psycho » avec la star montante de Detroit, Guilty Simpson , en invité de luxe. Focalisé sur l’international, leur stratégie finit par payer : leur single en anglais dans lequel il font jeu égal avec l’artiste rap underground le plus attendu de l’année 2007 fait un carton , 500 maxis s’écoule a travers 28 pays en 4 semaines . (le Japon et l’Angleterre ont été les plus enthousiastes).
L’ ALBUM : Après un tel succès et un réel engouement pour le collectif parisien la dernière étape a franchir était obligatoirement celui de l’élaboration de l’album. Fort de son expérience internationale, D3CCPT a mis au point un opus calibré pour la scène internationale : The Movement est un album bilingue.
La direction artistique est claire : un son clairement à l’avant-garde décliné dans plusieurs styles : froid et rugueux , club, soulful et chaleureux.
Les guests apportent quelque chose à la musique de D3CCPT : c’est le cas de la voix soul de Sly Johnson (ex saian supa crew) , du flow assassin de Black Milk (mc & beatmaker , LA révélation hip hop de Detroit), de Guilty Simpson (nouvelle sensation de Detroit et le plus gros buzz underground de 2007) de la folie de Dal Gren .
Les beatmakers les plus prometteurs a travers le globe ont participé a l’architecture sonore du projet : Pursuit Groove (USA), Slum Gullion (Hollande), mais aussi des français dont les talents sont d’ores et déjà reconnus hors de nos frontières comme Tayreeb, Green, Everydayz ou encore Fulgeance .

1 CONCEPT: At the beginning , a homage to the Detroit slept on scene, an hybrid hip hop which could be soulful and electronic or even both. Powerful drums and crazy infra bass made its reputation.
Die hard fans of artists such like J DILLA, PHAT KAT, BLACK MILK, SLUM VILLAGE ET GUILTY SIMPSON , the goal of D3CCPT was to showcase their influences with a first mixtape, well received by the press.
1 AMBITION : Elaborate a mixtape was a first step, the feedbacks are pretty good and the success is fast : Dope beats, strong lyrics, magnetic flows, 3 voices and 3 distinct styles, catchy hooks always in English (for a French group) explain it.
The D3CCPT collective want more and decide to reach the next level by auto-producing its first 12 inch with their smash single « Psycho » featuring the new Detroit heavyweight , Guilty Simpson. Focused on the international scene, their strategy start to pay off : the single in english with the most expected underground artist in 2007 is a huge hit and more than 500 vynils are sold throughout 28 countries in less than 4 weeks . (Japanese and Uk dj’s are the most enthusiastic).
THE ALBUM: After such a success, the last step is obviously to release their first album .With a new international experience, D3CCPT has elaborated an LP clearly built for an international audience: The Movement is a bilingual album.
The artistic direction is clear : a vanguard sound, a mix of electronic and soulful beats to create a powerful music.
D3CCPT has requested artists who share the same music vision: Sly Johnson (ex saian supa crew)and his soulful voice , Black Milk (mc & beatmaker , the Detroit hip hop revelation), Guilty Simpson (the new Stones Throw label sensation) and Dal Gren with his incredible delivery.
The most promising beatmakers around the world did their best to offer sonic jewels to the French collective : Pursuit Groove (USA), Slum Gullion (Hollande), but also French talents already recognized like Tayreeb, Green, Everydayz and Fulgeance (Musique Large)
