The band was founded in early 2000 in Valparaiso, Chile, as a concept of renewal of Krucifixion band founded in the early 90's. In 2002, after a long period of composition, entered the studio and recorded their first promotional CD, including the songs "Deathshadowed", "We Rise" and "Hell on Earth.
Meanwhile, the band begins to play (as support band) with great bands such as Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Dark Funeral and Vader.
In 2006, after perform a lot of concerts, the band entered at SADE studios to record the album "Bringer of Desolation", which was released for sale in the late 2007s.
With their first album "Bringer of Desolation", Dethroner earned respect for its technical/brutal death metal in the country and abroad, also they have showed their solidity in their live shows with national and international bands such as Vader (on his second visit to Chile), Marduk, Dismember and Malevolent Creation.

La banda fue fundada a principios del año 2000 en Valparaíso, Chile, como un concepto de renovacion de la banda Krucifixion fundada a principio de los 90's. En el año 2002 luego de un arduo periodo de composición, entran al estudio para grabar el primer cd promocional de la banda incluyendo los temas "Deathshadowed", "We Rise" y "Hell on Earth.
Mientras tanto la banda comienza a tocar como teloneros junto a grandes bandas, tales como Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Dark Funeral, Vader.
En el año 2006, luego de participar en un gran número de conciertos, la banda entra a estudios SADE para grabar el disco "Bringer of Desolation" el cual fue sacado a la venta a fines del año 2007.
Con su primer larga duración "Bringer of Desolation", Dethroner se ganó el respeto por su death metal técnico/brutal en el país y en el extranjero, demostrando también su solidez en sus shows en vivo, junto a bandas nacionales e internacionales, tales como Vader (en su segunda visita a Chile), Marduk, Dismember y Malevolent Creation.
