''Demons'' was formed in '95 in Stockholm, Sweden and fast became a part of the growing rock scene in and around their hometown. After appearances on a handful of compilations they released their first single ''Electrocute'' (Ruff Nite 1997) and EP, the fierce ''''Demons'' .Come Burst!ng Out!'' (Steer 1998). It led to interest from Gearhead Records and the band signed in the beginning of 2000. That same year the debut album ''Riot Salvation'' (Gearhead 2000) was unleashed to great critical acclaim.
At the tail end of 2001 the band toured the US west coast first time around with legends The Fleshtones. In early 2002 they were back for a coast-to-coast ride, playing SXSW for the first time. ''Stockholm Slump'' (Gearhead 2002) was then released. ''Demons'' toured the first Gearfest package with The Hellacopters, The Hives among others. In the fall they went back to the US supporting New Bomb Turks on another coast-to-coast trip.
After touring Europe extensively all through 2003 and the beginning of 2004 the band headed for US shores again for the fourth time in two years. Now promoting the new release, ''Demonology - If You Can’t Join Us Beat Us'' (Gearhead 2004). The tour kicked off at the Noise Pop Festival with the Detroit Cobras and ended up with a packed show opposite the Hives at SXSW in Austin. During this turbulent tour ''Demons'' parted ways with Gearhead Records. In April 2004 the band went to Japan to play four on-demand-shows. In addition to this the double-CD compilation "R!ot !n Japan!" was released on Melody Star for the Japanese market. After this the band headed home to their native Stockholm for a breather.
In the fall of 2004 Tristan Jeanneau replaced Muffins Brink on bass. One year later guitarist Stefan Jonsson officially left the band. The remaining members continued as a trio. During these turbulent times the band did few shows, instead they focused on honing their skills as well as writing and recording a bulk of material. Early 2006 they felt ready to present “Demons” Mach II to the world. In March they went on tour through Europe with great success. The EP ''(Her Name Was) Tragedy'' was released in October. During 2007 sessions for the new album “Ace In The Hole” (Alaska Productions) were completed. The album was released in Sweden on September 19, 2008. In October "Demons" joined The Hellacopters on the Scandinavian leg of their farewell tour "The Tour Before The Fall". After the new album was released in the rest of Europe on January 30, 2009, the band embarked on yet another successful tour in Italy in February. Ace In The Hole got raving reviews all over Europe.
“Demons” release their new album “Scarcity Rock” on Alaska Productions November 5, 2010. The band members themselves refer to the album as their “Frankenstein’s monster”. Tours in Europe during 2011 are in the works.
