DEJECTED

The band was formed by the end of 2002.Originally, five mates (Nico, Panda, Lindien, Rooky and Gritche) from different metal bands (Run Of Lava, SOS (R.I.P), Inner Hate (R.I.P ), Waste) decided to create a side project to have fun doing old stuff materials, playing covers from Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All, Nailbomb with 2 singers and two different types of voice . They rapidly headed on a pure oldschool style, no deathcore or new metal trends allowed in the project!!!
Even if the 5 members come from various musical horizons( grindcore, brutal hardcore, death, punk, cross over metal and hip hop), the band stuck to the hardcore style of the 80s with references such as The Dead Kennedys, The Bad Brains, 7 Seconds or Cro Mags. The aim was to deliver a basic, fast and powerful music mixed with furious and energetic singing parts(Biafra VS Danny Diablo styles).
By Spring 2003, Dejected got on stage to support bands like 25 TA Life, Blackfire,The Legacy,Wrensh, Crank County Daredevils, Recueil Morbide, Kompost, FTX in any kind of liveshows. The writing process got more and more opened and every member could inject his own influences and personality through the songs. By 2005, Nico decided to quit Dejected for geographical reasons and was quickly replaced by the ROL guitarist, M1ro who played bass for the very first time in a band!!
The band s challenge became really clear: record their first material.The band entered the Studio des Prairies in Feb 2006 with Stef (Gantz) as sound engineer, the mastering executed by KK Superstar.
Punk Rebel Records (Québec) released and distributed Dejected LP Sheer Bullshit Incorporated in Canada by April 2007.
By summer 2008, Panda moved from Besançon, left the band and formed Scumshot in Mulhouse. Rooky,formely on drums, decided to replace him on vocals and Dejected asked their old friend M1M1 (ex-Munkyposse, Lace & whiskey) to play drums, which he did. After one year of hard work, music arrangements and writing process, the band finally comes to a brand new set list made of old & new materials. But by spring 2010, Dejected took the hard decision not to carry on with gritche on guitars .
By 2011, the band finally stops by.
