already as a little boy mirco de govia was interested in electronic music (like kraftwerk and tangerine dream). therefore he handcrafted his first sound generator. in 1991 he jumped onto the booming german techno wave. after a period of time as a party animal, he felt like trying to develop the trance and techno scene himself a little bit. he bought music equipment and started to work in his own studio. in 1994 he released his first vinyl at the german underground label raindrop. at the same time he met ralph kyau (later owner of euphonic) who also released his first record on a sub label of raindrop. both became friends. disappointed of the work of raindrop, ralph started his own label harmony recordings. on that label mirco released his "romance e.p.", first time as mirco de govia. the following time mirco concentrated all his energy in his study for computer science and programming.
when ralph kyau and steven moebius albert started their label euphonic in 1997, mirco decided to re-start his musical career. in the following years mirco produced some compilation tracks and his 1st euphonic single called "clubspring meets mindspring" in 2000.
1999 mirco composed "epic monolith" as compilation track. euphonic had the plan to release it as single. so mirco re-produced the tune together with ronski speed and rough mullar. in 2001 "epic monolith" became a europe-wide clubhit, played by every important trance dj. xtravaganza signed the track one year later. the track entered the uk dance and sales charts.q uality is the most important thing for mirco de govia and so he decided todo only some remixes like lasgo's "something" (positiva records), sonorous "second sun" (euphonic/lost language), ralphie b "massive" (vandit), sun decade "i'm alone" (euphonic/atcr), kyau vs. albert "velvet morning"(euphonic/wea/anjunabeats). finally, the ardent awaited mirco de govia album "chronoscale" was released on cd in november 2003. the next projects were remixes for above and beyond and andy moor "air for live" (euphonic) and super8 "cre8" (anjunabeats), followed by the second collaboration with ronski speed with the track "asarja" (euphonic). there followed an inspirational period and preparations for a new album. this album with the name "iconic path" should be again sophisticated and adult, thus mirco achieved the release in april 2008, followed by excellent reviews and great responses worldwide.
