DEFIANT SONS

Came up from nothing and grew up WILD in the WEST



Formed in 1995 by "Chief" and "Crooked Smiles", with the addition of "Space Boy Boogie X" a short time later in 1996, this Latin Hip Hop trio has earned respect both in the streets and on the stage, having performed on the same stages as hip hop artists such as: Styles of Beyond, Hieroglyphics, Street Platoons, Psycho Realm, Dilated Peoples, Jurassic 5 and Cypress hill. However, in 1997 Chief and Crooked Smiles dropped out of the underground scene for some time due to certain crime and punishment laws leaving Space Boy Boogie X to fend for himself and continue working on music with other groups until their return.



Completely reunited in late 2002, the Defiant Sons slowly began working on their skills again in an attempt to pursue their passion for music. But it wasnt until November 2004, that the Defiant Sons decided to focus more on the business aspect of music. Staying true to their style, they kept their lyrics rough but replaced their original sound with a more marketable sound. They spent two months writing and locking down concepts and another seven months to record, mix and master their first album.



The album, originally consisting of twenty one tracks was cut down to the best fifteen. Three of the six tracks that didnt make the cut are scheduled to be on their next album which is currently in production and is expected to be as equally diverse and easy on the ears as their current album Hearing Impaired.
