DJ M80

Growing up in the 80's on the NorthSide of Chicago (Uptown) , DJm80 was blessed to be exposed to jackin' house and golden era hip hop at an early age. His brother Nerd, who was already an established dj, kicked him down with his first decks in 1994, one hand-me-down he would be lucky to receive.

A quick learner, M80 would be sneaking into bars and clubs a few months later to mix the latest underground hip hop. At the tender age of 16, he would have the opportunity to open up several parties for uptown house legend

Chris Underwood whose flawless oldskool house mixes would inspire M80, a few years later, to pick up playing house music himself. Somewhere in time, while djing around Chicago, M80 started to produce his own music with the help of family and friends that owned MPCs Using hard work and dedication, he developed the skills to rock parties. Whether mixing Chicago house, cutting it up to hip hop, rockin out with da band, or making dancefloor bangers, he is an act not to be missed. Currently residing in Columbia, SC (his home away from home) M80 is continually working hard producing tracks with DJ HighJack under the name GreenStreet. GreenStreet has several releases due out this summer and fall 2009, which include some house singles and remix work with Nocturnal Recordings UK and a full LP with Cold Busted Records. You better keep an eye out and an ear open for this cat.
