DECEPTION

Deception was formed in 2003 by guitarist Chris Chang and Luis Dario. After many lineup changes Deception is still alive with current lineup:
- Chris Chang - lead guitar/vocals (Hangar 18, Crepitus)
- Ryan Colgan - rhythm guitar/vocals (Crepitus, Fate Turns Grey)
- Adam Pinelli - Drums (Gravehill)
- C Bass - bass (Vaylor, Darkale)
Deception's style can be described as melodic death/thrash. The sound is heavily influenced by Death, Testament, Megadeth, Cynic, Slayer etc. The drums combine pulverizing blast beats with precise double bass, heavy yet catchy guitar rhythms with melodic acoustic interludes, Randy Rhodes-style solos and antiquate guitar leads, a full sounding bass section, and vocals similar to the style of Chuck Schuldiner and Glen Benton.
