DeBonair Pierre’s love of music surfaced in the early 80’s with the release of “Thriller” by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Besides being influence by the King of Pop, Mr. Pierre was also influence by other artists the legendary Bob Marley, Lionel Richie and last but not least Kool & the Gang. Growing up, Pierre always had none but one dream and focus,” to become part of the music industry. With that dream in mind and at heart, Pierre spent his high school volunteering at “PowerPlay Studio” in Queens, New York.



To further his interests in the music business, Mr. Pierre spent years working at several companies in the music industry. Included in that list of companies were; Label Records (which was distributed by PolyGram Records), MoBetterMusic, and most recently, at Atlantic Records. There, Pierre obtained most of his professional experiences working as an A&R assistant along side both, the Sr. director of the Urban A&R department, and the Sr. director of Public Relations. As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Pierre was importantly involved in the development of forthcoming projects by artists such as “Lil Kim” and several of other new artists.



Founded in 1998 and incorporated in 1999, Debonair Entertainment Inc., located in Brooklyn, N.Y., It’s becoming a major player in all aspects of the independent music industry. DeBonair Pierre has been a pivotal person for finding young talented artists and has a ken sense in the development potentials. Business wise, Debonair Pierre has been most influenced and driven by Mr. Barry Gordy, Mr. Clive Davis, Mr. Sean “Puffy” Combs, Mr. L A Reid, and last but not least Mr. Damon Dash.



Presently, “Debonair Records” Is working with a young talented artist from New Jersey by the name of “KERTASY”. Debonair just release “KERTASY” latest single “Fresh 2 Def”, and recently shot the video for it. The record is currently making it buzz on 38 radio stations. Together with “Debonair Records”, “KERTASY” released the mix tape “Kockback and Reloaded – Leave a message Vol. 1 hosted by the Harlem Diplomats. The mix tape spawned two club hits, “All Eyes” & “Move Dat Ass” leading to the video for “All Eyes” being spun on local video channels and radio airplay in Boston, Connecticut and Music Choice, and three appearances on the Vibe Magazine College Tour with Juelz Santana, Little Brother, Fabolous, and Cherie Deniss”.



It is evident, even know, that with all the triumph Debonair has seen with his up and coming artist “Kertasy”, and “Debonair Records” his forthcoming impact in the industry will be felt. “Debonair Records” is representative of a culture, a style, a way of life and an everlasting presence in HIP HOP. With an impressive foundation built on hard work, drive, expertise and energy “Debonair Records” is on its way to becoming the next big thing on the scene.
